TROUBLESHOOTING

Coffee is too cold	•	Cups not preheated	Preheat cups. Refer to
			‘Pre-heating Cup or Glass’
			on page 18.
	• Milk not heated enough		When the base of the jug
		(if making a cappuccino	becomes too hot to touch
		or latté)	this is when the milk
			is heated at the correct
			temperature. Refer to
			‘Texturing Milk’, page 20.
No crema	• Coffee is not tamped		Refer to ‘Coffee Dose and
		firmly enough	Tamping’, page 19.
	• Coffee grind is too		Ensure you use a suitable
		coarse	espresso grind. Refer to
			‘The Grind’ on page 18.
	• Ground coffee is not		Change old beans with
		fresh	fresh roasted or pre-

			longer than a week.
	• Filter holes are blocked		Use the fine pin on the
			cleaning tool to clear the
