Safety Information
To avoid potentially fatal electric
shocks:
•Ensure that the base with the electrical connections NEVER comes into contact with water! Should the base be accidentally moistened, allow it to dry completely before using it.
•Use the kettle only with the supplied base.
•Ensure that during operation the power cable never becomes wet or damp. Lay it so that it cannot be pinched or otherwise damaged.
•Arrange for defective plugs and/or power cables to be replaced at once by authorised technicians or our Customer Service Department.
•After use, ALWAYS remove the plug from the mains power socket. Simply switching off is not sufficient, because the appliance remains "live" for as long as the plug is inserted in the mains power socket.
To avoid burn and injury risks:
•Heat water only with the lid closed, otherwise the automatic
•Hot steam clouds may be released. In addition, the kettle becomes very hot when in use. Therefore wear
•Ensure that the appliance is stood stably and vertically before switching it on.
Boiling water can cause an unstable appliance to tip over.
