Testing Strip

The washing effectiveness of your machine depends on the softness of the tap water. For this reason, your machine is equipped with a system that reduces the hardness in the mains water supply. To find out the hardness of water in your area, contact your local water board who can determine the hardness of water in your area using a testing strip.

When you receive a testing strip, dip this into a cup of water for 1 second, remove from the water and shake. Wait for 1 minute and assess the hardness of your water using the below table.
