Operación del Congelador

•Si su artefacto está equipado con luces indicadoras,

la siguiente guía explica qué significa cuando se enciende cada luz:

a.verde = en funcionamiento

La luz verde que indica que la unidad está en funcionamiento siempre estará encendida cuando el artefacto está conectado a la red y encendido

b.roja = alarma Temperatura interior demasiado alta

Si la luz indicadora roja se enciende, esto puede deberse a distintos motivos, a saber: primera puesta en funcionamiento del artefacto,

reinicio después del descongelamiento o llenado del congelador

con alimentos frescos.

En estos casos es normal que la luz indicadora roja se encienda. Se apaga automáticamente cuando la temperatura interior

llega a aproximadamente 5°-F.

c.amarilla = interruptor de congelamiento rápido Si la luz indicadora amarilla se enciende,

el compresor continúa el enfriamiento hasta que se apaga nuevamente.

Si la temperatura ambiente es superior a 89,6°F y se enciende la luz amarilla, se necesitarán aproximadamente tres horas para que la temperatura interior baje a aproximadamente -0,4°F.

•Si su artefacto cuenta con un timbre,

su funcionamiento es el mismo que el de la luz indicadora roja.

El timbre se silencia automáticamente cuando enciende la luz amarilla. Una vez que el congelador ha sido colocado en su lugar,

•enchúfelo en un receptáculo eléctrico de 115 voltios y 15 amperios. Mueva el interruptor a la posición de encendido. La luz verde

se encenderá indicando que el congelador está operando. Fije la temperatura en la perilla del control de temperatura,

•siendo "1" la graduación de temperatura más alta y "7" la de temperatura más fría. Inicialmente, fije la temperatura en "4". Ponga, luego, los alimentos en el congelador.

Después de que el congelador ha operado por 24 horas, puede cambiar la temperatura al nivel que la desee.

En caso de que desconecte el congelador u ocurra una

•falla en la corriente eléctrica, espere por 5 minutos antes de volver a conectar el congelador.

El congelador mantiene automáticamente el nivel de temperatura que usted ha escogido. El dial de control de temperatura tiene - además de la posición OFF, apagado - 7 graduaciones. "1" es el nivel de más alta temperatura y "III" el de la más fría. Al girar el dial a la posición OFF se detiene la operación

P ara reiniciar la operación de la unidad, ponga el dial en "4" y espere 24 horas antes de ajustar la temperatura al nivel que la desee.

(Nota: Si el congelador ha estado en posición inclinada, u horizon- tal, por cualquier período de tiempo, colóquelo en su posición

normal y espere 24 horas antes de poner a funcionar la unidad.)
