IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Installation

~, WARNING

To reduce the risk of fire only use metal ductwork.

~Provided a larger distance is not given by the manufacturer of the cooktop, follow the minimum safety distances between a cooktop and the bottom of the hood:

22" (550 mm) above electric cooktops,

30" (762 mm) above gas cooktops,

26" (650 mm) above an open electric grill or an open electric boiler/fryer.

If local building codes require a greater safety distance, follow their requirement.

If there is more than one appliance beneath the hood and they have different minimum safety distances always select the greater distance.

~Be careful not to damage hidden electrical wiring or plumbing when cutting or drilling into the wall or ceiling.

~Do not use an extension cord to connect the appliance to electricity. Extension cords do not guarantee the required safety of the appliance, (e.g. danger of overheating).

~Do not install this hood over cooktops burning solid fuel.

~Any fittings, sealant, or materials used to install the ductwork must be made of approved non-flammable materials.

~Never connect an exhaust hood to an active chimney, dryer vent, vent flue, or room ventilating ductwork. Seek professional advice before connecting an exhaust hood vent to an existing, inactive chimney or vent flue.

~Ducted fans must always be vented outdoors.

~Make sure that the airflow in the room is sufficient for combustion and exhausting of all non-electric heating appliances (water heaters, gas cooktops, gas ovens, etc.), otherwise backdrafts may occur. Follow the heating manufacturer’s guidelines and safety standards or those published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) or the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

If in doubt, consult an experienced professional.

DA252-4, DA259-4, DA251-4 specifications

The Miele DA259-4, DA251-4, and DA252-4 are high-performance range hoods that exhibit Miele’s commitment to quality, design, and advanced technology. These models are specifically designed to enhance any kitchen environment while effectively removing smoke, steam, and odors produced during cooking.

One of the main features of these Miele hoods is their powerful suction capability. The DA259-4, for instance, boasts a maximum extraction rate that can efficiently deal with intense cooking sessions, ensuring a smoke-free kitchen area. Each model is equipped with multiple power settings, allowing users to adjust the suction according to their cooking needs, whether it’s searing meats or simmering sauces.

The design of these range hoods is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. They feature a sleek stainless-steel finish that integrates seamlessly with modern kitchens. The DA251-4 and DA252-4 models offer a dedicated option for under-cabinet installation or wall mounting, catering to various kitchen layouts and preferences.

One of the standout technologies in the Miele DA259-4 is the innovative CleanCover feature, which ensures that all components are easy to clean and maintain. This design philosophy extends to the filters as well, with removable grease filters that are dishwasher safe for hassle-free cleaning.

The hoods also incorporate advanced lighting technology to ensure optimum visibility while cooking. The integrated LED lights provide bright, energy-efficient illumination over the cooking area, making food preparation safer and more enjoyable.

Another significant characteristic of these models is their quiet operation. Miele has invested in sound insulation technology which minimizes noise levels without compromising suction performance. This means users can enjoy a peaceful cooking environment without the distraction of a loud range hood.

In terms of user convenience, the hoods come equipped with intuitive controls that are easy to navigate. Some models offer a remote control option, providing users the flexibility to adjust settings from a distance, making cooking more efficient.

Overall, the Miele DA259-4, DA251-4, and DA252-4 range hoods represent cutting-edge engineering paired with elegant design. They not only promise to keep your kitchen air clean but also enhance the overall cooking experience, making them a standout choice for any culinary enthusiast.
