Youroventemperatureis controlledvery accurately usingan ovencontrolsystem.It is recommendedthat you operatethe ovenfor a numberof weeksto becomefamiliarwith yournew oven’sperformance.

If you thinkan adjustmentis necessary,see the Adjust the OvenThermostatsection.It listseasy Do It Yourse~instructionson how to adjustthe thermostat.

NOTE: Whenthe ovenis hot, the frontof the cookingcentergetshot too.

How to Set YourOven for Baking

To avoid possibleburns, placethe shelvesin the correctpositionbeforeyou turn the ovenon.

1.Pressthe BAKEpad.

2.Pressthe INCREASEor DECREASEpad.The last temperatureusedwillappearin thedisplay.Continue pressinguntilthe desiredtemperatureis displayed.

3.PresstheSTARTpad.Whentheovenstartsto heat, thewords“BA~’ and“TEMP’andthechanging temperature,startingat 10O°Fwillbe., displayed.

Whentheovenreachesthetemperatureyouset,atone willsoundanda “PrE’(preheating)flashesin the displayThedisplaythenshowsthesettemperature. continuously.

Oven Shelves

Arrangethe oven shelfor shelvesin the desiredlocations whilethe oven is coo].The correct shelfposition dependson the kind of food and the

browningdesired.

As a generalrule, w\y placemostfoodsin the middleof the oven,on either shelfpositionsB or C. See the chartfor suggested shelfpositions.

4.Press the CLEAWOFFpad whenbakingis finished and then removethe food from the oven.

NOTE:

Youmay set the timerto the desiredcookingtime. Seethe OvenControl,Clockand Timersection.

A fan may automaticallyturn on and off to cool internalparts,This is normal,and the fan may continueto run even afterthe ovenis turnedoff.

Reheat the ovenif the recipecallsfor it. Preheatmeans bringingthe ovenup to the specifiedtemperature beforeputtingthe food in the oven.To preheat,set the ovenat the correcttemperature—selectinga higher temperaturedoes not shortenpreheattime.
