3.2.1Offline Backup of the Database

configure_nsrora and configure_networker can be used, if required, to create a new client and a new group called OFFLINE<oracle_sid><client>. If this client is backed up, an offline backup is performed, i.e. the database is shut down before the backup and then rebooted after the backup.

Furthermore, an offline backup of the database is performed whenever the database is closed at the time of the backup. This procedure consists of the following phases:
