9.Start the archiving monitor amon using the following command: start_amon.sh start $ORACLE_SID

(refer also to section “Starting and Ending the Archiving Monitor“)

10.Check the results of your first backup (see “Checking backups (troubleshoo- ting)” for this).

4.2Installation

NSR-ORA is supplied together with NetWorker on CD-ROM. The installation is carried out (analogous to the installation of NetWorker) on the NetWorker client on which the ORACLE database is located.

In addition to NSR-ORA, you also have to install an enabler for NSR-ORA itself on the NetWorker server.

4.2.1Licensing NSR-ORA

Before you can use NSR-ORA, you first have to install the enabler for NSR-ORA on the NetWorker server. This is how you install the enabler:

For NetWorker servers from Fujitsu Siemens Computers from NetWorker Version V5.5A21

1.Insert the license diskette into the drive of your NetWorker server.

2.Log in as root.

3.Enter the following command:

#keylic

The installation then continues interactively.

For different NetWorker servers (prior to Version V5.5A21 or third party)

1.Insert the license diskette into the drive of your Database server.

2.Log in as root.

3.Enter the following command:

For NetWorker clients from Fujitsu Siemens Computers (Solaris or LINUX):
