Using the Ovens

Caution: When you are cooking keep children away from the vicinity of the oven.

If it is found, over a period of time, that the ovens become hotter when used at a particular temperature, then the thermostat may need to be replaced.

In the event of the oven burner flame being accidentally extinguished, turn off the burner control and do not attempt to re-ignite the oven burner for at least one minute.

Using the main oven

Ignition

Push in and turn the main oven control knob anti clockwise to the ‘FULL ON’ position (gas mark 9). Hold the control knob in, and press the ignition switch or hold a lighted match or taper to the burner, until the burner lights.

If after 15 seconds, the burner has not lit, turn off the oven and leave the com- partment door open. Wait at least one minute before a further attempt to ignite the burner.

Do not hold the control knob in for more than 15 seconds.

Turn the control knob clockwise to the required setting.

To turn off, return the control knob to the “off” position.
