WeliveintheageofbroadbandmediasuchasSACD andDVDAudio,whicharecapableofstoringandrep roducing

frequenciesfarabove20kHz.Classicvalveamplifi ersaresimplyunabletomeetthedemandsofthese media.Thatis whywecametotheconclusionthatacompletelynew valvebasedamplifierwasrequired.The P10incorporatesnew circuittechnologyandnewlydevelopedvalvetypes, andasaresultleavesconventionalvalvetechnolo gywithallits limitationstrailinginitswake.

ely. CI technology consists of two components:

all-pole (completely

ctorsbetweenthesourcedeviceandtheamplifier,

buttheelectro

mechanical allpole inputswitchesused in the

P10 also isolate their earthconnections. This meanst

Inordertoexcludethepossibilityofearthloops intheconnectionbetweentheamplifierandthecur rentlyactivesource

device, theactive inputcanalsobeswitchedto 'floatingground '. Atthissettingthe P10’sinput isswitchedoverto differentialmode,eliminatingthelowimpedanceea rthconnectionbetweenthesourcedeviceandthe P10.Thismodeof

operationworksinasimilarwaytoasymmetricalc onnectionalthoughinthecaseofthe P10itcanalsobeusedwith normal,nonsymmetricalsourcedevicesandstandard Cinchcables.
