Setting the single element

The left rear cooking position on the cooktop may only be used as a single surface element.

The other 3 dual element positions on the cooktop may be set to heat as a single or dual element. Refer to the following page for more complete information about the dual elements.

For best results

The size and type of utensil used, and the amount and type of food being cooked will influence the setting needed for best cooking results.

CAUTION

Radiant surface elements may appear to have cooled after they have been turned off. The glass surface may still be hot and burns may occur if the glass surface is touched before it has cooled sufficiently.

Do not place flammable items such as plastic salt & pepper shakers, spoon holders, plastic wrappings or aluminum foil on top of the range when it is in use. These items could melt or ignite. Potholders, towels or wooden spoons could catch fire if placed too close to the surface elements. Some of these items may melt and can damage the ceramic cooktop.
