Using the Coffeemaker

wWARNING Burn Hazard.

To avoid hot coffee overflowing from the filter holder:

•When using decaffeinated coffee, do not exceed the coffee manufacturer’s recom- mended serving amount.

•If filter holder overflows, unplug coffeemaker and allow coffee in filter holder well to cool before opening filter holder well.

Your coffeemaker is equipped with a “Pause and Serve” feature, which allows you to pour a cup of coffee while it is still brewing. If pouring a cup while brewing, return carafe to the base within 20 seconds, since hot water continues to flow into the filter holder when this feature is used. Overflowing coffee and hot water are a burn hazard.

To set time of day, first press the H (hour) button to set current hour; then press the M (minute) button until you reach the correct time.

NOTE: When filling the water reservoir, using a carafe other than the one intended for this product may cause overflow. Use only the carafe supplied with your unit or its exact replacement.
