Flow Coolers

The FC-200 and the FC-500 are designed to work with the Techne C-85 circulator to give the temperature control. They are normally used to give circulation round a closed loop system, but may also be used in the open tank situation where the use of a dip cooler is impractical.

The Flow Coolers use a refrigerant which is circulated through a compact heat exchanger which has inlet and outlet pipes for the working liquid on the rear of the unit. These pipes are 16mm diameter. The flow coolers need a minimum flow rate of 10 litres/ min at 20oC to prevent freezing in the heat exchanger.
