6.1 Tractor Pre-Operation Inspection/Service
Refer to the tractor operator’s manual to ensure a complete
•Tire condition/air pressure
•Wheel lug bolts
•Steering linkage
•PTO shield
•SMV sign is clean and visible
•Tractor’s lights are clean and functional
•Tractor Seat belt is in good condition
•Tractor ROPS is in good condition
•ROPS is in the raised position
•No tractor oil leaks
•Radiator free of debris
•Engine oil level and condition
•Engine coolant level and condition
•Power brake fluid level
•Power steering fluid level
•Fuel condition and level
•Sufficient lubrication at all lube points
•Air filter condition
6.2 Loader Pre-Operation Inspection and Service
Periodically inspect all moving parts for wear and replace when necessary with authorized service parts. Look for loose fasteners, worn or broken parts, and leaky or loose fittings. Make sure all pins have cotter pins and washers. Serious injury may occur from not maintaining this machine in good working order.
Avoid contact with hot surfaces including hydraulic oil tanks, pumps, motors, valves and hose connections. Relieve hydraulic pressure before performing maintenance or repairs. Use gloves and eye protection when servicing hot components. Contact with a hot surface or fluid can cause serious injury from burns or scalding.
