DVD Setup Menu Options (continued)

Sound Setup Page (underlined options are the factory default settings)

NIGHT MODE This mode optimizes playback of sound at low volume. High volume outputs will be softened and low volume outputs will be enhanced to an audible level. This feature is only applicable for DVD video discs with Dolby Digital mode.

{ OFF }

Turns off night mode feature. Selects this to

 

 

enjoy the surround sound with its full

 

 

dynamic range.

{ ON }

Turns on night mode.

CNTR DELAY

Set the delay time in relation to the listening position/distance

 

from the center speaker. Use

keys to set the delay times

 

(5ms, 3ms, 2ms, 1ms or OFF) and press OK to confirm.

 

Set the delay time in relation to the listening position/distance

REAR DELAY

 

from the rear speakers. Use

keys to set the delay times

 

(15ms, 12ms, 9ms, 6ms, 3ms or OFF) and press OK to confirm.

 

Note: 1 ms increase/decrease of delay time is equivalent to 30

 

cm change in distance. Use the longer delay time settings when

 

the rear speakers are closer to the listener than the front

 

speakers.

 

 

 

 

 

TEST TONE

This feature helps you to judge the sound level of each speaker.

 

{ OFF }

Turns off test tone.

 

{ ON}

Turns on test tone, the test signal will be

 

 

 

automatically generated when you set the

 

 

 

speakers’ channels.
