CARE AND MAINTENANCE

BELTS:

Check belts every 50 hours. Replace any belts found to be in poor condition.

BELT TENSION:

Engine to Mower Deck Belt: 36” - P/N 10669 38” - P/N 14136 42” - P/N 61515 44” - P/N 11305

To adjust tension of the mower deck drive belt, turn adjuster nut on threaded eyebolt. Turning nut to the right will make the belt tighter. Turning nut to the left will loosen the belt. See illustration on page 39.

Idler arm, spring and eyebolt location/appearance will vary on some models.

Note: Belt deflection or movement should be approximately 1/4” when measured at mid- point between pulleys. Periodically inspect both belt and idler systems.
