WARRANTY

LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY ON CRAFTSMAN POWER MOWER

For two years from date of purchase, when this Craftsman Power Mower is maintained, lubricated, and tuned up according to the operating and maintenance instructions in the owner’s manual, Sears will repair any defect in material or workmanship free of charge.

If this Craftsman Lawn Mower is used for commercial or rental purposes, this warranty applies for only 90 days from the date of purchase.

This Warranty does not cover:

Expendable items which become worn during normal use, such as rotary mower blades, blade adapters, and belts.

Repairs necessary because of operator abuse or negligence, including bent crankshafts and the failure to maintain the equipment according to the instructions contained in the owner’s manual.

WARRANTY SERVICE IS AVAILABLE BY returning the Craftsman power mower to the nearest Sears Service Center in the United States. This warranty applies only while this product is in use in the United States.

This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES

WARNING: Do not attempt to operate this mower until you thoroughly read and completely understand all instructions, safety rules, etc. contained in this manual. Failure to comply can result in accidents involving fire, electric shock, or serious personal injury. Save Owner’s Manual and review frequently for continuing safe operation and instructing others who may use this mulching mower.

Safety standards require an Operator Presence Control Switch to minimize the risk of injury. Your unit is equipped with such a Control Switch. Do not attempt to defeat its function under any circum- stances.

WARNING: Some dust created by this product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer,

birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are:

compounds in fertilizers

compounds in insecticides, herbicides and pesticides

arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber

To reduce your exposure to these chemicals, wear approved safety equipment such as dust masks that are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles.

WARNING: This product contains chemicals, including lead, known to the State of California to cause cancer, and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.

CAUTION: Wear appropriate personal hearing protection during use. Under some conditions and duration of use, noise from this product may contribute to hearing loss.
