6.Push down on the rear handle. A locking spring (15) on the rear plate will secure the bottom of the grass bag assembly (12) (see Figure 9).
7.Lower the rear bagger cover (16) until it rests on the grass bagger assembly (see Figure 10).

Assemble the Rear Deflector
1.Mount the carriage bolts (1) in the square holes of the rear plate (2) (see Figure 11).
2.Attach the retainers (3) to the carriage bolts (1). The retainers (3) will hold the carriage bolts (1) in place.
3.Assemble the rear deflector (4) to the rear plate (2) with the wing nuts (5).

Maintenance Free Battery
IMPORTANT: Before you attach the battery cables to the battery, check the battery date.The battery date tells if the battery must be charged.
1.Check the top of the battery (1) for the location of the battery date (see Figure 12).
2.If the battery is put into service before the battery date, the battery cables can be attached without charging the battery. See “ Install The Battery Cables”.
3.If the battery is put into service after the battery date, the battery must be charged. See “ Charge The Battery”.
