Clear PlanWater

Maintenance Schedule

Each time you refill the spa

Follow the section “Starting the Spa with Fresh Water”.

 

 

Prior to each use

Test the spa water using either test strips a reagent test kit. Adjust

 

chemical levels as necessary.

 

 

Once a week

Test the spa water using either test strips a reagent test kit. Adjust

 

chemical levels as necessary.

 

 

Once a month

Deep clean your spa’s filter. (Follow filter cleaning instruction at

 

beginning of Clear Water Plan)

 

 

Every two to four months

Drain and clean your spa with “Multi-Purpose Cleaner”.

 

Polish the acrylic surface with “Fast Sheen”.

 

Clean and treat spa cover, pillows, and Cal Select cabinet (if

 

equipped) with “Cover Protector”.

 

Refill your spa, following the section “Starting the Spa with Fresh

 

Water”.

 

If you are using the Cal Clarity Automatic Bromine Generator Clear

 

Water Plan, add new sodium bromide to the water.

 

 

Once a year

Replace filter cartridges if the pleats appear frayed.

 

If you use the Cal Zone Quest 2000 Ozonator, you will need to

 

replace the ozone cartridge.

 

If you use the Cal Pure UV water sanitizer, you will need to replace

 

the UV lamp.

 

 

We recommend that your spa water be changed every 4 to 6 months. You may find the need to change your spa water more frequently with heavy use. When empty, your spa should be cleaned with a non-abrasive cleaner, such as Cal Spas™ All Surface Cleaner, and then rinsed thoroughly.
