MOWER MAINTENANCE

Deck Housing

Remove grass debris from the top and underside of the deck housing immediately after use.

To prevent accidents fertilisers and top dressings are particularly corrosive. Thoroughly clean the mower deck immediately after use on treated grass and store well away from corrosive materials.

Securing Nuts & Bolts

Regularly check that all securing nuts and bolts are tight. Replace missing or damaged items immediately.

Clutch Cable Adjustment

Move the plastic adjuster as necessary. Then move the drive clutch lever to the engage position and check the drive.

If the drive system still slips, adjust the cable until correct.

Cable stretch will change the performance of the drive system, result- ing in the clutch slipping particularly when operating in thick grass or on slopes.

To adjust the clutch cable; rotate the plastic adjuster to shorten/length- en the cable until satisfactory drive performance is obtained.

Check the clutch cable operation every 25 operating hours and adjust if necessary.
