Switching the input source

This unit supports the following playback functions in addition to disc playback.

Digital audio input signal playback

USB memory device file playback from the USB port in the front panel

iPod file playback from the USB port in the front panel

Computer file playback from the USB port in the rear panel

Before playing back files from a connected device, perform the following operation to switch the input source.

Press <DISC/INPUT> or [INPUT] to select the input source.

Coaxial

 

 

Disc Optical <DISC/INPUT> only

[Selectable items]

USB : Plays back files on the device connected to the USB port (iPod/USB) on the front panel. (vpage 16,17)

PC : Connect a computer to the USB port (DIGITAL IN) on the rear panel, and use this unit as a D/A converter. (vpage 19)

Coaxial : Connect a digital device to the COAXIAL port (DIGITAL IN) on the rear panel, and use this unit as a D/A converter. (vpage 19)

Optical : Connect a digital device to the OPTICAL port (DIGITAL IN) on the rear panel, and use this unit as a D/A converter. (vpage 19)

Disc : Plays back the disc inside the disc tray. (vpage 9)

You can press [DISC] to switch the input source to “Disc”.

Playback CDs

Playing Super Audio CDs or CDs

1 Press <DISC/INPUT> or [DISC] to change the input source to “Disc”.

2 Insert a disc.

• Press 5 to open and close the disc tray.

• When you press 1 and close the Disc tray, “Toc Reading” is displayed in the Display and then playback will start.

3 When playing back a super audio CD, press [S.MODE], and select the layer that you want to play back.

SA-CD CD

4 Press 1.

The “1” display lights, and playback begins.

When all of the tracks recorded on the disc have finished playing back, playback stops automatically.

Stopping Playback

Press 2.

Stopping Playback temporarily

Press 3.

The “3” indicator lights.

To restart playback, press 1 or 3.

Fast-Forwarding and Fast-Reversing (Searching)

The search is started by holding down <8/6>, <7/9> during playback.

The search speed can be changed by holding down <8/6>, <7/9>.

The search speed changes in 4 steps: 1 2 3 4 1.

4 is the fastest search speed.

The search is started by pressing [6], [7] during playback. The search speed can be changed by pressing [6], [7]. The search speed changes in 4 steps: 1 2 3 4 1.
