Playing a USB memory device

Playable USB memory formats

Files created in the following formats and stored on a USB memory device can be played.

nUSB-Compatible file systems

“FAT16” or “FAT32”

If the USB memory device is divided into multiple partitions, only the top drive can be selected.

nMaximum number of playable files and folders

Maximum number of files in a folder: 65,535

Maximum number of folders: 700

nFile format

MP3 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer-3)

WMA (Windows Media Audio)

M4A (AAC)

WAV (LINER PCM)

Playing files stored on USB memory devices

1 Press <DISC/INPUT> or [INPUT] to change the input source to “USB”.

2 Connect the USB memory device to the USB terminal on the front panel of this unit. (vpage 13)

3 Press 1.

Playback starts.

Fast-Forwarding and Fast-Reversing (Searching)

During playback, press and hold in <8/6> or <7/9>.

When you remove your finger from the button, normal playback is resumed.

When normal playback is resumed after searching, the sound may be interrupted momentarily.

During playback, press and hold in [6] or [7].
