The basics
Creating new information from the Today screen
From the Today screen, you can create new information, including:
•Appointments
•Contacts
•Excel workbooks
•Messages
•Notes
•Tasks
•Word documents
On the Today screen, tap New at the bottom of the screen, and then select the type of the new item you want to create.
For more information on creating these items, see the appropriate instructions for each task in this guide. For example, to create a new appointment, see “Creating an appointment” on page 132.
You can add or remove the programmes that are displayed on the New menu by tapping Start → Settings → Personal tab → Menus → New Menu tab.
