So schließen Sie das Kabel an:

aSchließen Sie den RJ-45-Stecker am einen Ende des Ethernet-Kabels an die Netzwerkkarte (NIC) der Workstation an.

bSchließen Sie den RJ-45-Stecker am anderen Ende des Kabels an einen der Ports auf der Vorderseite des Switch an.

Erstellen Sie keine Zwischenverbindung zu einem anderen, nicht konfigurierten Switch.

Konfigurieren der Workstation mit IP-Einstellungen

Sie müssen die IP-Adresse und die Subnetz-Maske der an den Switch angeschlossenen Workstation ändern. Notieren Sie sich die aktuellen Einstellungen, um diese später wiederzuverwenden. Ändern Sie die Einstellungen der Workstation auf folgende Werte:
