Anschließen der Workstation an den Switch

1Schließen Sie die Management-Workstation mithilfe eines Standard- Nullmodemkabels direkt an den Console-Port an (siehe Abbildung 13).

So schließen Sie das Kabel an:

aSchließen Sie die Kupplung des Kabels an die Stiftbuchse des Console-Ports am Switch an.

bZiehen Sie die Sicherungsschrauben der Steckverbindung fest, um ein versehentliches Abziehen des Kabels zu verhindern.

cSchließen Sie das andere Ende des Kabels an einen der seriellen Ports (COM-Ports) der Workstation an.

2Starten Sie die Terminalemulationssoftware, und konfigurieren Sie die Einstellungen des COM-Ports, an den Sie das Kabel angeschlossen haben. Diese Einstellungen sollten so gewählt werden, dass sie mit den Standardeinstellungen für den Switch übereinstimmen, nämlich:
