Upgrading from the Bootrom Interface
This section describes how to upgrade your switch from the Bootrom
Interface.
Introduction When the switch is running the initial boot phase via the console, the
following prompt is displayed with a five second countdown timer:
Press CTRL-B to enter Boot Menu... 4
followed by a password prompt:
password:
1Select Enter (the default is no password) to display the following boot
menu:
BOOT MENU
1. Download application file to flash
2. Select application file to boot
3. Display all files in flash
4. Delete file from flash
5. Modify bootrom password
6. Enter bootrom upgrade menu
7. Skip current configuration file
8. Set bootrom password recovery
9. Set switch startup mode
0. Reboot
Enter your choice(0-9):
2Enter the appropriate menu number to select a specific option.
Before upgrading the software to your switch from the Bootrom Interface
it is important to check the contents of the flash to ensure that there is
enough space to download the new files.
3Select option 3 from the Boot Menu. A file list similar to the following is
displayed:
