Once you have logged into the switch, you are automatically in User View.

6Enter the quit command to exit System View (and return to User View) and then enter the switch’s default gateway using the following command:

ip route-static 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

(where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the default gateway’s IP address)

7From User View, enter the save command to save the configuration to your switch (the configuration is not saved automatically when the switch is powered down).
