New Fields Added to FDDI MAC Summary and Detail

Five fields — currentPath, location, rxErrors, smtAddress, and station — have been added to the summary display for the FDDI MAC. The field rxErrors has been added to the detail display. Field descriptions, a sample FDDI MAC summary, and a sample FDDI MAC detail are shown here.

Table 2 New Fields in the FDDI MAC Displays

Field	Description
currentPath	Path on which this MAC is currently located (primary or
	secondary)
location	FDDI ring to which this MAC is currently assigned (backplane
	path or FDDI port)
rxErrors	The total number of errored frames received by this MAC
smtAddress	Address of the MAC used for SMT frames
station	FDDI station to which the FDDI port is configured
	(backplane_1, backplane_2, backplane_3, or external)
