Appendix B: SATA RAID configuration

The indicator for the selected drive changes from READY to ONLIN A[array number]-[drive number]. For example, ONLIN A1- 3 means disk drive 3 in array 1.

3Press Enter after you finish creating the current array.

4Press F10 to configure logical drives.

5Set the RAID level for the logical drive by highlighting RAID, then press Enter.

A list of the available RAID levels for the current logical drive appears.

6Select a RAID level, then press Enter.

7Set the logical drive size by selecting Size, then press Enter.

By default, the logical drive size associates the available space in the array(s) with the current logical drive.

8Set the stripe size.

9After defining the current logical drive, select Accept, then press Enter.

10Save the configuration when the CU prompts you to do so.

11Initialize the logical drives. Refer to “Initializing logical drives” on page 107 for detailed instructions.
