Overview
The DuoConnect adapter enables you to connect USB 1.1 (EHCI), USB 2.0 (OHCI), and FireWire (IEEE 1394) devices to your PC- compatible or Macintosh computer.
USB 2.0 is the fastest USB standard, capable of transferring data at up to 480 megabits per second. USB 2.0 devices are compatible with USB 1.1 devices.
FireWire is a serial bus protocol similar to USB 2.0. It transfers data at speeds of up to 400 megabits per second and is used with computer peripherals as well as with consumer electronics, such as digital video cameras and game consoles.
