Performance Tests
Test 4. Electrical Return Loss (DIGITAL IN)
1Press the PRESET key on the Agilent 8752C network analyzer.
2With averaging on, calibrate the Agilent 8752C for a 1-port reflection
measurement at the end of the RF output cable. Use the calibration termination
kit. A through calibration is not required.
3Connect the equipment as shown in the following figure.

4Press the Agilent 83430As front-panel SELECT key so that the DIGITAL IN AC
COUPLED light is on.
5Restart averaging on the Agilent 8752C.
6Confirm that the return loss meets the following requirements:
1.0 GHz. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . >12.07 dB
1 GHz to 2 GHz . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . >9.07 dB

7Disconnect the RF cable from the DIGITAL IN AC COUPLED connector, and
reconnect the cable to the DIGITAL IN DC COUPLED connector.
8Press the Agilent 83430As front-panel SELECT key so that the DIGITAL IN DC
COUPLED light is on.
9Restart averaging on the Agilent 8752C.
