Tools Required

• T-10 TORX screwdriver

Removal

1. Remove the instrument cover. (Refer to the “Instrument Cover” replacement procedure

on page 5-64.)

2. Disconnect the transistor assembly (item 1 in Figure 5-14) leads from the

CPU/motherboard (A14).

3. Remove the screw (item 2) that attaches the transistor assembly to the chassis.

4. Remove the transistor assembly (item 1), the shoulder washer (item 3), and, if

necessary, the insulator pad (item 4).

Replacement

1. Reverse the removal procedure and torque the T-10 TORX screw to 9 in-lbs.
