7. Set the attenuation to 14 dB, so you’re not overdriving the input mixer on the spectrum analyzer.

You should now see a waveform with nine tones and a 20 GHz center carrier frequency that is similar to the one shown in Figure 8-3 on page 173. You will also see IMD products at 1 MHz intervals above and below the highest and lowest tones.

This procedure builds upon the previous procedure.

1.Press Initialize Table > Number of Tones > 10 > Enter.

2.Press Done.

3.Highlight the value (On) in the State column for the tone in row 2.

4.Press Toggle State.

5.Highlight the value (0 dB) in the Power column for the tone in row 4.
