Storing audio data to your computer

This section explains how to record and store audio data from an audio CD to the hard disk drive of your computer.

The procedure in this section is used to record all tracks on an audio CD. To record only specific tracks from a CD, or from other sound sources, see the online help for details (page 58).

Note

The system may malfunction if your computer changes to system suspend or hibernation mode while the software is playing, recording, or connecting to an external device or media* such as a Net MD. Make sure to disable any changes to suspend or hibernation mode. See page 63 for details.

For this software, the word “MD” refers to the built-in MD slot on the computer, and “Device/ Media” to a Net MD that is externally connected over a USB cable.
