6.OPERATING THE MANUAL CONTROL VALVES
The AXTREME has two control valves. One is the on-off switch to the cutter motor and the other is the
position control valve.
ON-OFF Switch (Mower Valve) - To operate the mower, pull the switch while the tractor is running. The push-
pull operator will remain in the ON pos ition PULLED or the OFF po sition PUSHED until the operator desires
to start or stop the mower. Always start the cutterhead with the tractor at idle.
The operator should not leave his seat with this valve engaged or with the tractor engine
running. Allow approximately 60 seconds for the blades to come to rest after turning the
switch off b efore dismounting.
The mower valve co mes with a push-pull o perator switch tha t, when properl y installed , will preven t the tractor
from starting if the switch is in the ON position (p ulled out). To properly inst all the push-pull operator, follow the
Operate the Tractor and/or Implement controls on ly while pr operly seated in the Tractor seat
with the seat belt securely fastened around you. Inadvertent movement of the Tractor or
Implement may ca use ser iou s inju ry or death. (SG-29)
