5. Remove the hard drive out of the hard-drive bracket (if applicable).

To replace a hard drive:

1.Follow the instructions in “Before You Begin” on page 36.

2.See the documentation that shipped with your new hard drive to verify that it is configured for your computer.

3.Snap the new-hard drive bracket on to the new hard drive (if applicable).

4.Slide the new hard drive into the hard drive cage until the release tabs snap into place.

5.Connect the power and data cables (if applicable).

6.Replace the side panel (see “Removing and Replacing the Side Panel“ on page 38).

7.Reconnect the power cable, and all the external peripherals to the computer.

8.Turn on the computer.
