Replacing the Processor Module

CAUTION: Only a certified service technician should perform repairs on your computer. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty.
CAUTION: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on your computer).
CAUTION: To help prevent damage to the system board, remove the main battery (see Removing the Battery Pack) before working inside the computer.
Removing the Processor Module
1.Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.
2.Follow the instructions from step 2 to step 19 in Removing the System Board.

CAUTION: To ensure maximum cooling for the processor module, do not touch the heat transfer areas on the processor
CAUTION: When removing the processor module, pull the module straight up. Be careful not to bend the pins on the processor module.
4. Lift the processor module off the ZIF socket.
