The Trace utility has been modified. Previously, Trace sent a group of packets at once and waited for multiple responses in order to assess the minimum, maximum and average time to cover a certain "hop distance" towards the target host. Packets with a RIP source address and next hop address that are not on the same subnet as the interface will now be processed. If the received next hop is not on the same subnet, it is treated as 0.0.0.0.
