ˆA 1000 MB SFP module can be auto detected when you insert it into the AT-GS950/48 Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch. However, you must configure the port mode to Auto for the Gigabit SFP module to become operational per the procedure given above.

ˆA 1000 MB SFP module can be manually configured for 1000 full duplex with no auto- negotiation by setting the SFP port Mode to “1G-Full” per the procedure given above.

ˆTo activate a port configuration change, be sure to perform the following steps after selecting and changing a configuration parameter for either a copper or SFP port on the Physical Interface page:

1.Click the Modify button on the Physical Interface page.

2.Click the OK button on the Physical Interface page.

3.To activate these changes and permanently save these settings to the configuration file, go to the Save Configuration page and click on the Save button. The port configuration changes will only take affect after completing this step.
