X6DVA-4G/X6DVA-EG User's Manual

To configure SATA RAID for Operating Systems that support RAID

functions(--Windows, Red Hat & SuSe, Linux)

1. Select "Advanced Setting" from the AMI BIOS menu.

2. Select the IDE Configuration menu.

3. Change the IDE Configuration to "P-ATA Only."

4. Under the item-"Configure S-ATA as RAID", select "Yes".

5. Tap the <Esc> key and scroll down to "Exit". Select "Save and Exit"

from the "Exit" menu. Press the <Enter> key to save the changes and exit

the BIOS.

6. Once you've exited the BIOS Utility, the system will re-boot.

7. During the system startup, press the <Ctrl> and the <A> keys simulta-

neously to run the Adaptec RAID Configuration Utility when prompted by

the following message:
