USING THE TERMINAL PROGRAM TO CHANGE THE NUMBER OF EXTERNAL BATTERY PACKS
Terminal is used in Windows 3.1x, Windows for Workgroups, and Windows NT 3.51.
1.EXIT the PowerChute plus Server. In Windows NT, the UPS Service must be stopped.
2.Go to Program Manager > Accessories > Terminal.

USING THE HYPERTERMINAL PROGRAM TO CHANGE THE NUMBER OF EXTERNAL BATTERY PACKS
1.EXIT the PowerChute plus Server. In Windows NT, the UPS Service must be stopped.
2.From the Desktop, go to Start => Programs => Accessories => HyperTerminal.
3.You are prompted to choose a name and select an icon. Enter name and then click OK. Disregard the message, “...must install a modem,” if it is displayed.
4.Select the COM port. The port settings are 2400 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, flow con- trol is Xon/Xoff.
5.Click on Advanced and ensure the box labeled, FIFO buffer, is NOT checked.
6.Once the HyperTerminal window is open, follow these steps:
