Integrated Environmental Monitor

The S20BLK includes an integrated environmental monitor with a temperature
sensor that measures ambient room temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit.
Temperature values can be observed using the S20BLK unit’s VFD display, or on
your local workstation (PC), or via the serial port or embedded NMC.
To use the environmental monitor, simply connect the temperature cable (included
with the unit) to the round 8-pin mini-DIN connector labeled Probe, which is
located on the S20BLK unit’s rear panel, as shown in Figure B-1. Then proceed to
the Quick Configuration section in this manual, and the Environmental Monitoring
section in the Network Management Card User’s Guide for instructions on how to
setup and access the integrated environmental monitor.
