Removing items from the disk and retrieving them from the Trash

Erase or remove

Drag the icon to the Trash.

Choose Empty Trash from the Special menu.

Retrieve an item

Open the Trash icon.

Drag the icon out of the Trash (and into the disk or folder window

where you want to store it). Or, choose Put Away from the File menu to return the icon to its original place on a disk.

you what’s inside an icon.

Move the scroll box up or down to view the contents of a window that you can’t see. The gray in the scroll bar indicates that there are contents of the window that you cannot see.
