You can use System Profiler to find out detailed information about your MacBook.

You can find out the amount of built-in memory, hard disk size, devices connected, the product serial number, and more. To access the information in System Profiler, choose Apple () > About This Mac from the menu bar and then click More Info, or open System Profiler, located in /Applications/Utilities/.

Click the triangles in the window to show and hide information in the different categories.
