Network Setup Protocol Structures and Data Types

The preference type for the OTCfgATalkGeneral structure is kOTCfgATalkGeneralPref, which is deﬁned as 'atpf'.

OTCfgATalkGeneralAARP

The OTCfgATalkGeneralAARP structure deﬁnes parameters for the AppleTalk Address Resolution Protocol (AARP) component of the AppleTalk protocol stack and is a sub-structure of the OTCfgATalkGeneral structure.

Field descriptions

fVersion	Always 1.
fSize	The size of this structure.
fAgingCount	The default is 8.
fAgingInterval	The aging interval in milliseconds. The default is 1000.
fProtAddrLen	The length of protocol addresses in bytes. Always 4. This
	ﬁeld is ignored by current versions of Open Transport.
fHWAddrLen	The length of hardware addresses. Always 6. This ﬁeld is
	ignored by current versions of Open Transport.
fMaxEntries	The default is 100.
fProbeInterval	The probe interval in milliseconds. The default probe
	interval is 200 milliseconds.

It starts by getting a list of all of the set entities by calling the MyGetEntitiesList routine Listing 2-5. Then MyFindActiveSet iterates through all of the set entities, reading the kOTCfgSetsStructPref preference of each set entity. That preference maps to the CfgSetsStruct structure, which contains an fFlags member. One bit of the fFlags member, kOTCfgSetsFlagActiveMask, indicates whether this set entity is the active set entity.
