3.5 Restoring Factory Defaults

To restore the switch to its factory default settings, follow the commands shown in the follo wing screen.

COMMAND> enable

Switch# clear config

Switch# save

Important: To retain configuration changes after a system reload you must save changes made in running

configuration. From the privileged level, configurations can be save d using the save command.

The switch is ready for configuration. Refer to the following chapters for manageme nt and configuration information.
