Selecting Extended Mode displays the Read tab (Figure 5-15). The Read tab is divided into two areas –
Configuration Setup and Read Timings.
5.3.4.3 Configuration Setup
Bitrate: Rf / (n + 2) for n = 0 to 126 (default setting Rf/32)
Coding: Manchester, Biphase 1('50), Biphase 2 ('57), Direct, PSK..., FSK,...
(refer to the T5557 datasheet), (default = Manchester)
ID-Code Length: Block0, Block1, Block 1 to 2, Block 1 to 3, ..., Block 1 to 7 (default = Block 1 to 7)
Signature: 8-bit Header, Sequence Start Terminator (default = Header 6Eh)
Use 12-bit Header: RFID application complying to the ISO/IEC 11784/85 standard. For example, for
animal IDs, the 11-bit binary header 0000 0000 001(0) is used. For this reason, a three-nibble header
window is specified (default = 002h)
Passwor d: Activates password mode used for protection against overwriting and Answer On Request
(AOR) Function (default = not activated)
Lock Block 0: Setting this bit locks the Configuration Block 0 of the transponder. Once the lock bit is
set, the bit rate, coding etc., are locked and cannot be changed. Use this feature with care.
Inverse Data: Data uplink is performed inversely when activated (default = not activated)
Answer On Request (AOR): Activates anticollision mode. (When this check box is selected, an
additional button appears for AOR wake-up.) (Not activated is the default.)
