6.0 TROUBLESHOOTING

If the switcher does not appear to be functioning, make certain that all the DVI sources and the DVI capable monitor are functioning correctly by connecting each DVI source in turn directly to the monitor using a cable with a length of 6 feet or less. If the signal

is present under those conditions, make certain that the power is present on the switcher. If it is, measure the cable length you are attempting to use between the sources to the switcher and the switcher to the monitor. The cables must be 6 foot long or less. Lastly, Inspect the cables and connectors for damage.

6.1 HDMI Displays

The 1332 or 1334 DVI output signal can be converted to HDMI using a cable or converter, but the resulting signal may not be compatible with all HDMI displays.

6.2 Cable Length

If you need to span a distance of greater than 6 feet, purchase Audio Authority’s 1351 Repeater which will allow you to extend a cable run up to 40 feet.

6.3 Complex Configurations

Due to the nature of High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection, and the many types of information that must be passed along the chain of devices, complex configurations involving DVI distribution amps and switchers may not work as expected. Do not use a DVI switcher in the signal path after a distribution amp; this configuration does not work.

If the problem still persists after trying the above suggestions, contact the Audio Authority Technical Service department via email: support@audioauthority.com, or call 800/322-8346 or 859/233-4599.
