To test that you have correctly installed and configured all the com ponents of Avaya™ ATM
WAN Spare Processor Manager, complete the following sections.

To test ASP Manager’s connections to supported devices, complete the following steps:
1. Start ASP Manager (page 31).
2. Select a server on ASP Manager’s main screen.
3. Choose Tools>Validate.
ASP Manager attempts to connect to the main server, and if it is able to log in, it issues
the status atm wsp command. If the WAN Processor Role fiel d contains any value
other than “pending,” then ASP Manager can display the nam e, number, and link
status of each WSP in the network.
