Execute Auto-Discovery on Public Networks
The procedure below is required to execute Auto-Discovery on the public networks.
1At the Root map, select one of the options (a or b) from the menu bar:
aOn OpenView, click Configuration > DEFINITY > Execute Auto-Discovery
bOn NetView, click Monitor > DEFINITY > Execute Auto-Discovery
Result: The system executes Auto-Discovery and logs the events in the Events
Categories window.
2To view the events In the Events Categories window,
•Click All Events
• Scroll down the list to find the message: Auto-Discovery Completed
Successfully.
3If appropriate, complete the procedure to "Execute Auto-Discovery on Private
Networks" on page 66
4Verify that the DNM installation and the NMS integration were successful. Refer to
Chapter 5, "Getting Started".
